We’re no stranger to the complexities, hiccups, and joys of planning epic vacations. We launched Zephyr Adventures in 1997 as the world’s first inline skating tour company and since then expanded our offerings to include hiking, biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and more. In 2014, we added Taste Vacations to our portfolio because we love exploring the world’s best food, wine, and beer destinations and wanted to share our passion with others. Most recently, we launched Travel Montana in 2021 as an inbound tour company showcasing the wonders and beauty of our home state of Montana, including Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
Our small Zephyr United Travel Collection team has over 50 years of experience in the specialty tour industry and has the knowledge and experience needed to make your next vacation unforgettable.
Allan Wright, Owner and Founder
With Zephyr since 1997
Kris Keys: Guide, Tour Operations Lead
With Zephyr since 2000
Beth Peluse, Marketing Director
With Zephyr since 2015
Allan is Zephyr’s owner and founder and has been running adventure vacations since 1997 when Zephyr first created the inline skate touring industry.
Allan is a native of Seattle and has lived in eleven cities in four countries on three continents during his many traveling years. His passion for travel never ceases to grow as you can find him guiding a few of our tours each year.
When asked about his life dreams, Allan will tell you, “To have a significant impact on other people and the world and to have fun doing it.” Allan is a bit of an idealist.
Tour participants find her to be organized, competent, a great leader and – true to her Midwestern roots – always friendly. When asked what her life dream is, Kris answers (among other things), “To always have a job where I can work in my pajamas or shorts.”
Kris works full time for Zephyr out of our Red Lodge, Montana headquarters. She lives in her “Dream Treehouse” with her husband, two cats and three pitbull mix rescue dogs. For most of the year, Kris is Zephyr’s alumni ambassador and tour operations lead. However, she also guides as many trips as she can convince her team to allow her to.
Beth‘s passion for travel began at a young age during her family’s annual camping trips across the US every summer to numerous National Parks.
Her first experience with Zephyr was as a guest on her honeymoon to Chile & Argentina – she loved it so much, she decided to join the company!
Beth holds down the Midwest “office” just outside of Chicago and works full time leading the charge for Zephyr’s marketing and guiding a variety of our tours. She is a self-described book nerd and loves to run, hike, cook, garden and is even an amateur beekeeper.
Sarah Wohlner, Taste Vacations Manager
With Zephyr since 2018
Sarah fell in love with travel and adventure at a very young age. She grew up in California, went to college in Colorado, and now resides in California and Montana. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, camping, rafting, skiing, and almost anything else the outdoors have to offer.
Sarah manages Taste Vacations and is responsible for the operations of food, wine, and beer tours all over the world. A perfect fit because in her free time Sarah posts culinary videos and content on her blog and social media. She loves to be in the kitchen trying out new recipes inspired by her travels.
Kelly Heaton, Travel Montana Manager
With Zephyr since 2021
Kelly grew up in Colorado and moved to Montana in 2004 looking for more mountains and more adventures. Upon arrival, she found both and spent several years guiding educational trips in and around Glacier National Park.
Kelly manages our newest tour company, Travel Montana, and is responsible for the operations for Zephyr’s Montana adventures. You also might catch her guiding a variety of our active tours throughout the globe.
She is happiest in the great outdoors, hiking and backpacking up the mountains in the summer and skiing down them in the winter. Kelly lives in Red Lodge with her husband Matt, the local game warden, their son Connor, and two four-legged friends.
We welcome travelers of all races, genders, and sexual orientations. All you need is a curiosity for adventure and a quest for fun. Check out our Equality Plan.
